Brand Assets and Mark Use Policy
Effective date: 29 March 2026
Last updated: 29 March 2026
This Brand Assets and Mark Use Policy ("Policy") governs use of the EviWrite name, logos, visual identifiers, certification references, badges, verification marks, the ⓔ evidential mark where associated with EviWrite, and any related brand assets or official signals made available by EviWrite ("EviWrite", "we", "us", or "our").
This Policy should be read together with the EviWrite Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, and any separate written agreement that applies to authorised partners, licensees, or approved private channels.
1. Purpose of this Policy
EviWrite operates in an authority and verification context. That means brand misuse is not cosmetic. It can create false evidential meaning, false institutional trust, false certification impressions, and false assumptions about what has or has not been evidenced, verified, approved, or governed.
This Policy exists to protect:
- the integrity of official EviWrite branding;
- the meaning of authorised certification and approval signals;
- the public’s ability to distinguish official use from imitation, misuse, or fraud;
- the credibility of EviWrite verification and evidential interpretation.
2. What is covered
This Policy applies to all EviWrite brand assets and related signals, including without limitation:
- the name EviWrite;
- EviWrite logos, wordmarks, icons, and visual marks;
- EviWrite certification references and approval language;
- official badges, partner indicators, and authorised-use signals;
- official verification marks and badge designs;
- the circled e symbol where used by or in connection with EviWrite’s official system;
- official screenshots, page captures, or visual extracts from EviWrite surfaces where used to imply status or approval.
3. Ownership and reservation of rights
All EviWrite names, logos, visual identifiers, brand elements, badges, marks, and related design assets are owned by EviWrite or used under rights held by EviWrite, unless expressly stated otherwise.
No right, title, licence, permission, approval, certification, or endorsement is granted except where EviWrite gives it expressly in writing.
All rights are reserved.
4. General rule
You may not use EviWrite brand assets in any public, private, commercial, institutional, technical, editorial, promotional, or operational context unless one of the following is true:
- the use is plainly nominative and factual, with no implication of endorsement, approval, or certification; or
- EviWrite has expressly authorised the use in writing; or
- the use is required by a separate written agreement with EviWrite and remains fully compliant with that agreement.
If there is doubt, there is no permission.
5. Permitted nominative use
Limited nominative reference to EviWrite may be acceptable where the use is factual, restrained, and not misleading. For example:
- referring to EviWrite by name in a comparative discussion;
- linking to an official EviWrite page;
- identifying EviWrite as the source of an official public document;
- describing EviWrite in press, commentary, procurement review, academic work, or legal analysis.
Even in nominative use, you must not:
- alter the name;
- stylise it as if it were your own brand element;
- give it undue prominence compared with your own name or surrounding context;
- use logos, badges, or symbols when plain text would suffice;
- imply approval, certification, affiliation, or official relationship.
6. Prohibited uses
You must not, without express written authorisation from EviWrite:
- use any EviWrite logo, badge, or visual mark in product, service, platform, packaging, advertising, or promotional material;
- use EviWrite names or marks in a company name, product name, domain name, handle, profile, account, page title, campaign, or metadata likely to cause confusion;
- imply that EviWrite has certified, approved, endorsed, evidenced, reviewed, verified, governed, or authorised something when it has not;
- use any EviWrite mark in connection with unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, or harmful material;
- alter, redraw, imitate, distort, animate, crop, recolour, rebuild, or approximate official EviWrite marks in a confusingly similar way;
- combine EviWrite assets with other names, badges, seals, or marks in a way that creates composite approval signals;
- use screenshots or extracts from EviWrite verification surfaces in a misleading way or out of context;
- continue using any authorised mark or badge after permission has ended, been suspended, or been revoked.
7. The ⓔ evidential mark
The circled e symbol may be used by EviWrite as a public-facing evidential trust mark within official EviWrite systems, workflows, or authorised partner environments.
That does not mean the symbol is freely usable as a public claim of EviWrite approval.
You must not:
- use the ⓔ evidential mark in a way that suggests official EviWrite evidencing, protection, approval, or certification where no such status exists;
- place the symbol on media, files, products, websites, documents, or public claims as though it carries automatic EviWrite meaning;
- mimic the official EviWrite trust-mark use pattern, including linked verification behaviour, without authorisation;
- use similar circular evidential or certification devices likely to confuse viewers into believing EviWrite approval exists.
Any unauthorised third-party use of the circled e symbol, or any similar imitation, must not be attributed to EviWrite and creates no responsibility on EviWrite’s part.
8. Certification, badge, and authorised-use claims
Terms such as the following are restricted and must not be used without current written authorisation from EviWrite:
- EviWrite certified
- EviWrite authorised
- EviWrite evidenced
- EviWrite protected
- verified by EviWrite
- approved by EviWrite
- official EviWrite badge
- authorised EviWrite partner
- EviWrite-backed
You must not create equivalent wording intended to produce the same effect.
Where EviWrite does authorise a badge, claim, or certification reference, that permission is narrow, conditional, revocable, and subject to all applicable EviWrite rules.
9. Authorised partner and licensee use
Authorised licensees, partners, or approved institutions may be permitted to use defined EviWrite brand assets, badges, or authorised-use signals only under separate written agreement.
Such use may be subject to requirements including:
- exact asset versions and approved wording;
- mandatory linking to official EviWrite verification or certificate pages;
- placement, sizing, spacing, and contrast rules;
- prohibition on local redesign, reinterpretation, or repackaging;
- suspension and immediate takedown on request;
- compliance with operational, audit, evidential, legal, regulatory, and security obligations;
- ongoing review and audit by EviWrite;
- immediate cessation on termination or revocation.
No public statement or historical use creates a continuing right to use EviWrite branding.
10. No dilution, tarnishment, or confusion
You must not use EviWrite marks in any way that may:
- dilute their distinctiveness;
- weaken public trust in their meaning;
- attach them to low-quality, deceptive, unlawful, or unserious contexts;
- create confusion as to source, sponsorship, affiliation, approval, or certification;
- blur the line between official EviWrite surfaces and unofficial imitation surfaces.
11. Editorial, press, and commentary use
Journalists, commentators, analysts, and researchers may refer to EviWrite for factual reporting and commentary, but must do so accurately and without implying endorsement.
Use of official logos or marks in editorial contexts may still be restricted where the presentation is likely to imply partnership, approval, or direct participation by EviWrite.
Where practical, plain text reference is preferred over logo use.
12. Screenshots and visual extracts
Screenshots or visual extracts from EviWrite pages may be used only in a fair, accurate, and non-misleading way.
You must not:
- crop screenshots to remove qualifying information;
- alter or annotate screenshots to change their meaning;
- use screenshots as if they were live verification where they are merely static images;
- present screenshots in a way that implies current official status when that status may have changed;
- fabricate or reconstruct EviWrite page visuals to simulate a real result.
13. Asset access does not equal permission
The fact that an asset is visible, downloadable, cached, or technically accessible does not grant permission to use it.
Absence of technical restriction is not consent.
14. Takedown and correction rights
EviWrite may require immediate removal, correction, replacement, or cessation of any use of its names, marks, badges, symbols, or visual assets where it considers the use unauthorised, misleading, outdated, non-compliant, or harmful.
Compliance with such a request must be prompt and complete.
15. Reporting misuse
If you become aware of misuse, imitation, counterfeit certification claims, false partner claims, or misleading display of EviWrite brand assets or symbols, contact:
Reports should include links, screenshots, and any relevant identifying information where available.
16. Enforcement
EviWrite may take any action it reasonably considers necessary to protect its marks, brand assets, and trust signals, including:
- issuing warnings;
- requesting removal or correction;
- suspending or revoking permissions;
- notifying platforms, providers, registrars, marketplaces, or intermediaries;
- pursuing contractual remedies;
- pursuing legal remedies.
17. No waiver
Failure by EviWrite to object to a particular use does not grant permission and does not waive EviWrite’s right to object later.
18. Changes to this Policy
EviWrite may update this Policy from time to time. The current version applies from the effective date shown above.
19. Final rule
If the effect of your use is to make someone believe EviWrite has approved, certified, evidenced, authorised, or stands behind something when that is not formally and currently true, the use is prohibited.
