Acceptable Use Policy for the EviWrite website, public materials, verification services, public pages, and related surfaces.

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 29 March 2026
Last updated: 29 March 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out the rules for use of the EviWrite website, public materials, verification surfaces, public-ledger surfaces, receipt interpretation pages, contact channels, and any related public services, tools, marks, or outputs made available by EviWrite ("EviWrite", "we", "us", or "our").

This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the EviWrite Terms of Use and any other applicable legal notices published by EviWrite.

1. Purpose of this Policy

EviWrite operates in a trust-sensitive evidential context. That means misuse is not merely annoying. It can distort interpretation, create false authority signals, weaken public trust, and interfere with systems intended to support serious evidencing and verification.

This Policy exists to protect:

  • the integrity of EviWrite verification and evidential surfaces;
  • the reliability of public interpretation;
  • the security and availability of the site and related systems;
  • the lawful and proper use of EviWrite materials, outputs, badges, and marks.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to any use of:

  • the EviWrite website;
  • public verification pages and public ledger pages;
  • receipt interpretation pages and verification outputs;
  • forms, contact channels, or public submission channels;
  • public resources, insights, legal materials, and related public documents;
  • EviWrite names, badges, certification references, and related marks;
  • any automated, scripted, manual, or indirect interaction with public EviWrite surfaces.

3. Permitted use

You may use EviWrite public surfaces only for lawful, honest, non-deceptive purposes consistent with the nature of the service.

Permitted use includes, for example:

  • reading and referencing public materials for internal informational purposes;
  • checking an official EviWrite verification or receipt-related page for its stated meaning;
  • evaluating EviWrite public materials as part of procurement, diligence, research, legal preparation, or operational review;
  • linking to official EviWrite public pages in a fair and non-misleading way;
  • contacting EviWrite through official public channels for legitimate enquiries.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not use EviWrite in a way that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, technically harmful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the service.

Without limitation, you must not:

4.1 Mislead or impersonate

  • impersonate EviWrite, an authorised partner, a regulator, a customer, or another person;
  • falsely claim that a file, record, product, institution, or service has been evidenced, certified, approved, or verified by EviWrite;
  • misrepresent your affiliation, authority, identity, entitlement, or relationship to EviWrite;
  • create false or misleading associations with EviWrite branding, outputs, or public materials.

4.2 Misuse verification or receipt interpretation

  • use verification pages, receipts, or public outputs in a deceptive, defamatory, fraudulent, manipulative, or misleading way;
  • present an EviWrite receipt or state as proving more than EviWrite publicly states it proves;
  • suppress, alter, crop, or selectively present EviWrite outputs in a way that changes their meaning;
  • create false matches, false screenshots, or false references to official EviWrite outputs.

4.3 Abuse EviWrite marks, badges, or symbols

  • use the EviWrite name, brand, certification language, verification mark, or circled e symbol in a way that suggests unauthorised approval or official status;
  • imitate, counterfeit, or closely simulate EviWrite badges, certification marks, or official visual devices;
  • display the circled e symbol or any similar device as if it were officially tied to EviWrite where no such approval exists;
  • continue to use EviWrite approval signals after permission, status, or licence has lapsed, been suspended, or been revoked.

4.4 Attack, probe, or interfere with the site

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, route, account, admin surface, or service;
  • probe, test, scan, reverse engineer, or exploit vulnerabilities without prior written permission;
  • distribute malware, malicious code, hostile scripts, or harmful payloads;
  • overload, flood, stress, degrade, or disrupt the site or supporting infrastructure;
  • interfere with security features, headers, rate limits, request validation, logging, or availability controls.

4.5 Scrape or automate improperly

  • scrape the site at scale without permission;
  • use bots, agents, or automation in a way that places unnecessary load on public services;
  • harvest content, verification outputs, route structures, data, or materials for republication, resale, or competing service creation without permission;
  • perform automated access in a way that bypasses technical restrictions or frustrates site operation.

4.6 Publish or transmit unlawful or harmful material

  • upload, transmit, request, or distribute unlawful, infringing, defamatory, fraudulent, obscene, hateful, abusive, or otherwise harmful material;
  • use EviWrite public channels in connection with phishing, spam, scams, harassment, extortion, or intimidation;
  • submit material designed to create false evidential records, false provenance claims, or false chain narratives.

4.7 Misuse public materials

  • rely on public materials as if they were personal legal, compliance, or regulatory advice given to you;
  • republish EviWrite materials in a misleading way or stripped of context;
  • present EviWrite guidance as your own official policy or as neutral public-domain text;
  • use EviWrite public materials to support deceptive marketing, false certification claims, or unauthorised endorsement narratives.

5. No misuse of evidential uncertainty

EviWrite exists because interpretation matters. You must not exploit that fact in bad faith.

You must not:

  • use ambiguity around evidence or verification language to create a false impression of official support;
  • exploit partial screenshots, partial receipts, or partial states to overstate what EviWrite has done;
  • describe an unresolved, unofficial, mismatched, archived, or superseded state as active approval;
  • present the absence of a public contradiction as if it were proof of approval.

The circled e symbol has specific significance when used with EviWrite authorisation and linking logic. Outside that context, it can be misused easily.

You must not:

  • place the circled e symbol on or near files, products, media, pages, or materials in a way that implies official EviWrite evidencing where none exists;
  • use wording such as “EviWrite protected”, “EviWrite certified”, “EviWrite evidenced”, or similar claims without authorisation;
  • create unofficial marks or verification lookalikes likely to confuse viewers;
  • hold EviWrite out as responsible for unauthorised third-party use of the symbol or similar devices.

Any unauthorised use of such symbols is at the sole risk and responsibility of the user or publisher responsible for that use.

7. Respect for system limits and availability

You must use the site in a way that is proportionate and respectful of public service availability.

You must not:

  • make excessive or repetitive requests that place avoidable load on public routes;
  • attempt to bypass caching, routing, rate limiting, or access controls for high-volume extraction;
  • use the public site as a substitute for an unauthorised back-end integration;
  • trigger patterns of use that materially impair the experience of others.

EviWrite may throttle, block, challenge, or restrict traffic where necessary to preserve availability, security, and integrity.

8. Security-sensitive use

Because EviWrite operates in a verification and evidential domain, hostile testing and casual experimentation are not treated lightly.

You must not:

  • attempt credential stuffing, enumeration, hostile fuzzing, injection, traversal, or unauthorised discovery of hidden routes or internals;
  • attempt to manipulate verification responses, receipt logic, matching logic, or interpretation layers;
  • attempt to poison logs, manipulate audit trails, or generate misleading system artefacts;
  • use EviWrite in connection with offensive security activity except where expressly authorised in writing by EviWrite.

9. Third-party rights

You must respect the rights of EviWrite and others.

You must not use the site or public materials to:

  • infringe copyright, trade secret, trademark, database, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • submit or publish material you are not entitled to use;
  • misappropriate proprietary records, evidential outputs, or public materials;
  • support false ownership, false origin, or false provenance claims.

10. Monitoring and enforcement

EviWrite may monitor, log, review, preserve, inspect, filter, block, or disclose relevant activity where reasonably necessary to:

  • protect the site and its users;
  • preserve evidential integrity;
  • investigate misuse or suspected misuse;
  • enforce this Policy or other applicable terms;
  • comply with law, regulation, court order, or lawful request.

11. Consequences of breach

If you breach this Policy, EviWrite may take any action it reasonably considers appropriate, including:

  • issuing warnings;
  • removing or refusing access;
  • rate limiting or blocking requests;
  • suspending or terminating access;
  • disabling or disregarding misleading references;
  • reporting conduct to relevant providers, institutions, regulators, or law enforcement where appropriate;
  • taking legal action.

EviWrite is not required to provide advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary.

12. No right to continued access

Access to EviWrite public services is not unconditional. EviWrite may modify, suspend, withdraw, restrict, or discontinue any route, surface, feature, or material at any time where necessary for legal, evidential, security, operational, or commercial reasons.

13. Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is misusing EviWrite marks, verification surfaces, receipts, or public materials, or presenting false approval or certification claims, contact:

contact@eviwrite.com

Reports should be factual, specific, and supported where possible by links, screenshots, or identifying details.

14. Changes to this Policy

EviWrite may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will apply from the effective date shown above.

15. Interpretation

This Policy should be interpreted in a way that protects the integrity of EviWrite’s role as an evidential and verification authority layer. Where a use is technically possible but plainly misleading, manipulative, or inconsistent with that role, it is prohibited even if not listed word-for-word above.
